2025 Figure Fruit and Field Artist Retreat Event Schedule

Below is the planned Dynamic Schedule for the retreat.

Each day is filled with creative workshops, relaxing wellness sessions, and community fun. (Schedule subject to slight changes as we finalize contributions – but rest assured, it’ll be an inspiring mix!).

Every activity is optional – you can follow your own creative flow. We’ve designed this schedule to offer a rich blend of learning, creating, and relaxing. We hope you’ll try a bit of everything! Ready to join us?

Day 1 - Friday, April 25

  • All Day - Still Life with Pastries
  • 12:00 - 2:00 PM - Figure Drawing with Rahela: Starting off the weekend with a dynamic figure drawing session including two 1 minute poses, a 5 minute pose, a 10 minute pose, a 15 minute pose, and a 30 minute pose.
  • 3:00 - 5:00 PM – Nature Walk and Welcome: Get oriented with our interactive tour. You’ll be guided through a series of inspiring stops around the property, earning a colorful “cloth of honor” at each stop – collect all 8 colors! (Self-paced after initial welcome)
  • 5:00 – 6:30 PM – Dinner: Enjoy a hearty evening meal (see Menu page for details) and meet your fellow retreat attendees.
  • 7:00 – 9:00 PM – Figure Drawing Session: Figure drawing with Praveen. Grab your sketchpad for the second live model session of the weekend, guided by an experienced artist.
  • 9:00 PM – Late – Drum Circle: Feel the rhythm by the fire. Join an informal drum circle – percussion instruments provided, or bring your own. No experience needed, just a heartbeat and enthusiasm.
  • 9:00 PM – Late – Campfire and Stargazing: Wind down your first day with new friends around the campfire. Bring an instrument or simply enjoy the music and stories under the stars. The retreat is hosted in an international Dark Sky area, so you can see the glorious milky way and other celestial beauty on clear nights.
  • 9:30 - 10:00 PM - Fountains: Celebrate the first night with a sparkling fountain show.

Day 2 - Saturday, April 26

  • All Day - Still Life with Vase and Flowers
  • 9:00 – 10:00 AM – Morning QiGong: Gentle QiGong exercise with Ray Robertson to awaken your body and mind (best done on an empty stomach, so join before breakfast if you can!).
  • 9:00 – 10:30 AM – Breakfast: Fuel up with a delicious morning spread (coffee & tea brewing, of course).
  • 12:00 – 1:00 PM – Figure Drawing with Mia: Another live model figure drawing session, this time with Mia. Hone your skills with new poses and techniques.
  • 2:00 – 3:00 PM – Sound Healing Session: Immerse yourself in a sound bath with Donovan Moran. This calming session uses musical vibrations to help you relax deeply – a restorative treat for the creative soul.
  • 5:00 – 6:30 PM – Dinner: Enjoy a tasty dinner and share stories from the day’s art adventures.
  • 7:00 – 9:00 PM – Figure Drawing with Mia: Evening figure drawing with Mia. Mia brings dynamic poses (often costume-inspired) that will challenge and inspire your inner comic-book artist!
  • 9:00 PM – Late – Campfire and Stargazing: The campfire is lit and lively again. Roast a marshmallow, discuss the day’s creations, or stargaze. This free-form time often sparks impromptu music and deep conversations. Take a walk through the land and enjoy the glories of the night sky in an international Dark Sky area.
  • 9:30 - 10:00 PM - Fountains: Celebrate the final night with a sparkling fountain show.
  • 10:30 PM – Late – Jenny Party™: Get your groove on with a late-night Dance Party hosted by nationally known artist, musician, and party host Jenny Mathews so you can dance and groove beneath the night sky.

Day 3 - Sunday, April 27

  • All Day - Still Life with Fruit
  • 9:00 – 10:30 AM – Breakfast: A final hearty breakfast to start the day together.
  • 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Yoga: Stretch and unwind with yoga led by a certified yoga instructor (TBA). A perfect way to loosen up after a weekend of creating (all levels welcome).
  • 12:00 – 1:00 PM – Figure Drawing: Afternoon figure drawing session to finish out the weekend. One or more of our models will share multiple poses that will get your artistic juices flowing – a grand finale to our art sessions.
  • 2:00 - 4:00 PM – Critique and Discussion: We’ll wrap up the creative journey by gathering to critique and discuss one another's work and experience in a welcoming and safe circle, guided by Rahela. It’s a thoughtful closing activity to reflect on insights gained (exact time will be announced during the retreat).
  • 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM Farewell Dinner: The retreat officially concludes after one last meal together with friends. Connect over dinner, pack up, exchange contacts with new friends, and depart with fresh inspiration and memorable experiences!
